Easter’s on its way! This mini crochet Easter basket works up fast! I’m always looking for quick, economical holiday gifts. I just love being able to have a little something for someone special. Add some paper grass and candy and you’ve got a great looking gift.

Mini Crochet Easter Basket Supplies

• Size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook
• Worsted weight yarn
• Darning Needle
• Scissors

Mini Crochet Easter Basket Pattern

Abbreviations

Ch: Chain St: Stitch Sl St: Slip Stitch HDC: Half Double Crochet

Basket

Round 1: Make a magic circle and Ch 2. Work 7 HDC in magic circle (8 Sts). Join with Sl St to top of Ch 2.

Round 2: Ch 2, 1 HDC in same stitch. Work 2 HDC in each remaining Sts in round (16 Sts). Join with Sl St to the top of Ch 2.

Round 3: Ch 2, 1 HDC in same stitch. *1 HDC in next stitch, 2 HDC in next stitch.* Repeat between * until end of round (24 Sts). Join with a Sl St to the top of Ch 2.

Round 4: Ch 2. 1 HDC in back loop of each St in the round (24 Sts). Join with a Sl St to the top of Ch 2.

Round 5: Ch 2. 1 HDC in each St in the round (24 Sts). Join with a Sl St to the top of Ch 2.

Rounds 6 and 7: Repeat Round 5.

Fasten off. Weave in ends including the end from the magic circle.

Handle

Ch 20. Work 1 HDC in second chain from hook. Continue to work 1 HDC in each chain. Fasten off.

Overlap the handle onto the basket 1/4″ and stitch handle to basket. Weave in all ends.
